Goal: Publication in a youth academic journal
Students develop and refine a research question with their peers, conduct original research, and write a paper under the guidance of a PhD candidate.
Occupies the research project slot on the college application with a paper that signals passion for a major and field
The PhD mentor becomes a natural, credible recommender — able to speak directly to intellectual curiosity, independent thought, and rigor
Builds the research skills and academic writing needed for scientific coursework and the IB Internal Assessment (IA)
